The i5 or the i3?

They're about the same price.

Gaming, bf1, doom, civ 6, dishonored 2, 1080p

Running with GTX 1060

Complete rubbish. The game doesn't see a dual core, it sees four logical cores in either case. This is an i3, not a Pentium and even some pentiums now have hyperthreading.

 

The i5 is better, but not for the bullshit reason above.
