m.2 cooling?

I just got a 960 evo 1tb, it reachers 60+ during stress tests.

I know this is normal and its "fine" but i want it to be better than fine

Any solutions? thinking something like piece of aluminum with thermal pads.

You can get small heat sinks. The ones like for the Raspberry Pi should fit.

 

This of course depends on where your M.2 slot is. If it's behind the motherboard, that's a bit trickier.

That could work i guess. or just put in behind a fan. get something small like....for example a raspberry pi heatsink, but a little larger so i could cover the surface

Thats not a bad idea, or you could buy mini heatsinks (like 10 bucks for 20 of them depending on the store), and then use thermal adhesive to stick them on the chips that are heating up. If you can't or dont want to do that for some reason, you could always position a fan to blow on it, make sure that the airflow path in your case is blowing across it.

I don't know a lot about M.2s, but is yours besides your graphics card (If you have one)? The exhaust from the card will head up the SSD regardless if you have a heatsink or not.

I've thought about this as well but won't bother.  I have done many benchmarks one after another and performance stays relatively the same over a 30 min span.  Everyday usage will never see this so i wouldn't worry about it.
