I think you can find a 960 evo for the same price. TLC, but going MLC on a 128GB doesn't feel worthwhile.

Read up on using the SSD as a cache and system disk at the same time. That way you can just install startup things on the SSD and the rest on the HDD.

Keep in mind you don't want to fill an SSD above 80%, even the PROs, so caching will get that storage management of your hands in a perfect way.

I say that so maybe one day I don't have to wait on everyone else to load the damn games.

270x is a bit outdated aint it?

Better than a 460 :S

Excuse my broken keyboard

this is OK, the GPU can be swapped out for an R9 380 or something like that, depending if you are willing to go for used parts you can do a 1080p crusher machine for less then that but this isnt bad. if you are buying new parts i would go for something around this but i would also wait a while. this isnt bad,  its just not good compared to if you get a X58 motherboard a 8c16th Xeon and run it at 4GHz+ and pair that with a RX 470 or whatever happens to fit your budget. the AMD 8 cores get a lot of shit but if you dont care about an upgrade path and you have a verry restrictive budget they work, they arent complete shit

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I'd say it'll run medium settings on the newer titles @60fps. Me 285 2gb gives medium-highish on bf1.

Your 285 is a good deal better than the 270X; around 15% better.

@willforthebest  That PC is a decent value.  It is just old tech.
