IN addition to your bios I would suggest downloading samsungs ssd tool online, it should help troubleshoot it.

Samsung Magician is not supported on OEM drives. It will only work on retail ones. It's been like this since that older OEM model everyone was getting.

no that seems fine the disk drive driver

Samsung NVMe driver can only be applied to their retail drives, not the OEM like one you're using. The only driver that can be used for you, is the one provided by Microsoft. SATA controller driver on the other hand, can be updated through Intel or whatever 3rd party controller your board is using, but that has nothing to do with your NVMe SSD.  Try running Windows Update and see if it finds any new driver for your NVMe device.

i had read that the retail drivers work for the oem drives so had been trying that but it seems you are correct i have tried windows update but tbh it can go suck a dick cos since the last update i cant play gta5 anymore,fu bill gates i dont really see why its a problem as it's just another drive just cos its oem doesn't make it completely special needs i might have another run at it tomorrow or like i say just hit samsung up for the info they might be helpful,

Your M.2 is Gen 2 X2 so you won't be seeing the max speeds with out an adapter.

Are you on Windows 7? NVMe drives wont work on it.

a pcie adaptor? im on 10, do i even have enough lanes?
