Hello and happy new year!

I am thinking of buying my first gaming pc, but since i am a collage student my budget is really tight.I am a pc noob, i dont know how to pick components or value the given horsepower of a rig. So I found a pre-built used pc for 180 euro (approx. 190,23 $) with the following specs :

CPU : e8500 C2d 3.1ghz

GPU :  gtx 650 2gb gigabyte

Storage :  wd blue 250gb sata 3

Power supply : 450watt (not sure of the model of manufacturer)

Motherboard : gigabite (not sure of the model)

Ram : 4 gb

Could you value this pc's value? What upgrades should i do and what sould i ask the seller? Will it run the newer titles like Battlefield 1?

That isn't worth $200. That's worth about $100.

If you want to build a gaming PC with new parts, you'll need a budget of at least $350, and on top of that, you're going to need a keyboard, mouse, monitor, and Windows key.

If you want to build a gaming PC with used parts, you can do it for cheaper, but the difficulty involved and the risk of things not working is greater.

Either way, give us your location (Be specific- we need your country and your city) and the maximum amount you can spend. Also, tell us whether or not you have a keyboard, mouse, monitor, and Windows Key.

I live in Thessaloniki,Greece. I do have  a mouse, a keyboard and a monitor (an old one but i will do the job for now). I would like to use used parts but i cant find any in greece. My top budget for now is about 250 euros but i might be able to upgrade soon and I do have a windows key.

so.. there's a shop around the corner from me, that's kinda known to be WAY overpriced for the garbage they're selling.

they have pretty much the exact same pc, for around €160.

in other words, dont...

if €200 is your budget, there's very little room to work with, and buying something prebuilt in this range is almost always a complete waste of money.
