Hi all,

I have a dual RX480 crossfire setup and when I game they are soooo loud!!

I never had the experience with AMD drivers and their software so I would love to get some help.

First question would be fan settings. I don't quite understand what each setting do in ReLive's WattMan.

Second question is the settings for each game. There are so many options, some are enabled some are not and I have no idea what's going on.

What would be a general rule to follow for the settings? I mainly play Civ6, NFS, Witcher 3 and Cities Skyline.

Many thanks!

P.S. What types of anti-aliasing do I use and in Witcher 3 do I enable Nvidia Hair?

Cities: Skyline is purely CPU bound, doesn't matter what GPU you have even your 6800k will be the bottleneck in it.

Witcher 3 don't turn har works on.

FXAA I think is the AMD version of MSAA

As for fan settings you'll want to optimize them with like MSI Afterburner or have you tried their Chill mode?

Nope, it's like knockoff MSAA. It blurs the edges of textures where jaggies usually are to make it appear less jagged. It's an Nvidia technology.

idk

Cities Skyline will tax your GPU just no way near as much as your CPU will be taxed therefore it won't matter that much the graphical quality chosen.

The Witcher 3 is a very demanding game on any hardware, you should leave the Hair option off as it does impact performance for a not that great improvement, I personally advice the same for The Rise of Tomb Raider.

About FXAA it is a less taxing type of Anti Aliasing, with the down side of increasing motion blur effect, you can learn more about it on this video:

Thanks! Where do I find the Chill mode? In Profile WattMan, I have Speed (RPM) auto or manual mode, Min Acoustic Limit (MHz) which I do not understand the unit or what it does, Temps on auto and Power Limit which I did not touch.

Also, under Profile Graphics there are many options like Anti-aliasing Mode, method, Crossfire mode, etc., Do I leave them all to default?

P.S. do I enable V-sync for Freesync? I have the LG UC98 that supports freesync up to 75hz
