PC crashed again.

Go to solution Solved by 2FA,

How ironic, I was just in another topic with the same exact issue. My post there has a guide in a spoiler. You'll have to find your CLSID and APPID for the event in Event Viewer.

Computer just crashed, I am thinking it's the GPU as the fan speed instantly went up to 100% (I can tell by the sound). Should I be worried? BTW it's the second time this happened.

Specs in sig. Last time it did it just crash, like normal crash. This time it gave me errors (the fan also went up too)

Now looking at event viewer again (screenshot will be attached if needed) I see 3 similar erros (identical I would say) to the last time it occured to me

Source: DistributedCOM

EventID: 10016

Last time was in game. The game FPS was very low. I did not bother too much. And for some reason I did not look at temps or usage too. Thinking it was normal. This time was just casually web browsing.

Oh... and GPU usage is spiking to 906 ish% randomly, on idle. That is something.

I did remove the backplate, dissasemble the GPU but did check properly to assemble it again. Could that be an issue? I think it either works or it does not.

Btw it game me a BSOD. I did not write down what it was. Anyway to check? Last time it did not give me BSOD. Not the old BSOD type, the newer one with Windows 8/10

Wanted to OC this card, but it's not even stable at stock lol

So you think this is Windows issue? OP's post saying his/her PC was freezing not crashing. I never had this issue before without this card

Must be the AMD software then. Well I will try and see how it turns out. Though the issue happen so rarely that it's hard to know if it is fixed or not.

I remember you posted a thread about this. It's probably windows 10 being itself. Microsoft might toggle it off tho.
