So long story short my PC can barely run GTA on lowest settings 800x600. The problem is that my CPU usage drops. When it is on 100% i can play the game without major lags but sometimes it drops down to 50% or 60% which makes the game stutter. So my question is: is there any way to make the game use 100% of the CPU all the time? Also would overclocking help? I already overclocked but maybe i can more..

Are we talking frame dropping stutter or micro stutter?
If micro stutter, if you have geforce experience installed, uninstall it.

whats your spec

it would help if you posted specs. drops in cpu usage usually means gpu bottleneck though. have you tried monitoring both during a gta 5 benchmark?

Okay so here comes the funny part. Specs are funny as i said. Pentium dual core e6500 overclocked to 3.7GHz,2GB RAM ( i know it's under minimum requirements but it actually uses 1.7GB while gaming which is not full RAM so yeah that should not be problem) and the GPU is HD6570 1GB DDR3. Yeah it's stupid to even try to play GTA on that but yeah i don't have anything better.....

your duel core cpu is the problem

If you have 2gb ram and GTA V is using 1.7gb, your OS has to be using some, so its quite possible you're maxing out your RAM too.

you don't have to be apologetic about having low specs, social hierarchy by wealth is a dumb idea. but its probably either a ram bottleneck or a gpu bottleneck. is only gta using 1.7gb or is the whole system using 1.7gb? check your gpu and cpu usage while doing a benchmark

No idea about the RAM, i cancel everything i can in processes so i use less RAM... Only if it could use 100% of the CPU it would be okay to play but it won't :(

Whole system is using 1.7 GB. As i said,CPU usage drops which makes the game stutter. GPU usage is fine tho. I'll try overclocking it a little bit and if that fails for me then i'll leave that game :(

Do you monitor temps when youre gaming?

Its possible it could be thermal throttling, but at the same time if its a sudden drop to 50-60% usage it seems unlikely.

it can't be your cpu as its usage is low.

Stress testing gives me 68C max for CPU and the GPU doesn't go over 60. I think it's just that gta needs more cores. Pentium G4400 has gta lag too so seems like it's just bad cores in older pentiums.

If you want to use your CPU at 100% all the time, you'll need to get better cooling so it doesn't thermal throttle itself. Forcing it to stay at max power without proper cooling is only going to fry your CPU and possibly your MOBO too.

I would not say it's throttling. Doesn't go over 65C while gaming,68C while stress testing.
