New mic thread problem

Hello,

I got my new mic its Samson C01U, got it for free so dotn ask why I buy that.

But got an problem I got my mic holder its smth like that : 

Its actually the same like it is here, the proble is samson c01u goes with it standart tripod, and it thread is muuuch wider than the holder thread, so I need an adapter, only problem I dnt know about sizes, can someone please help ?

might be cheaper to buy multiple but 3/8'' to 5/8'' is what you want.

a problem with your mix or your mic, because that's just two pictures of your mic, from which i can't see anything

3/8'' and 5/8'' are the two dimensions, which way round you need it depends on which has the larger thread.

About dimensions the samson mic size much bigger that mic holder.

About mic problem you can see that that cage thing at the top right corner is pushet inside little bit, not even sure how it was done it very hard like iron or smth.

If it is just the grille then that is fine, it will have no effect on sound quality or performance. It was probably made slightly out of shape, but nothing to worry about.

Something like that will hold that mic, all you have to do is unscrew the clip on the stand and replace it with that one.
