So I've been working hard to create a new gaming rig this year but before I buy the remaining parts I thought I could use some extra opinions on whether it is compatible or not.

Parts:

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock 3 67.8 CFM Fluid Dynamic Bearing CPU Cooler

Motherboard: MSI Z170A SLI PLUS ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

GPU: Zotac GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card

Case: Phanteks ECLIPSE P400 ATX Mid Tower Case

PSU: Corsair VS 550W ATX Power Supply

Before you rush off to PcPartPicker or tell me to, I've already done that.

just two things i want to note:

- corsair VS are their *REALLY* low end power supplies, you have money for something better if you can afford a 1070. instead look at corsair RMi/RMx, AX/AXi, HX/HXi, evga G2/P2/GS/PS, or seasonic.

a power supply is the only part in your computer that can reliably kill everything else in your system, if there's one spot not to cheap out, that's where its at.

- be quiet coolers are great, but i guarantee at least one cut while mounting them, their mounting system is just plain stupid. if you mind the mounting difficulty even a slight bit i'd recommend a noctua D9L over a be quiet dark rock any day.

Thanks, unfortunately I've already bought the PSU so I can't buy a different one, it was all I could afford at the time. As for the CPU cooler, I'm not too worried.
