Hi, i upgraded a Lenovo workstation

and when i went to hit the power button this happened...

 

Things on screen: 0

Cooling fan speed and sound: Over 9000

 

(Its basically when i turned it on the only thing it did was spin the cooling fan)

 

I tried a CMOS reset... didnt work

 

What now?

conect the monitor :-p

i put in a new PCI video card and took out the PCI network card

Also i put in a 1TB hard disc

does it have integrated graphics on the motherboard?

if so try take out the graphics card and see if it helps, maybe try the old one again

did you connect the moniter to the card? not the mobo

are you sure the power supply is sufficient for the new component?

First i connected it to the MOBO output

THEN the Video card

did you re start after connectig it to the card, sometimes it needs to have a power cycle with the cable on the card

After connecting to The MOBO graphics

i Unplugged and then connected to GPU 

[hardtofindinthefuture]

I unplugged the video card and started

 

SAME THING
