Hi,

I'm coming to the forums today to get some help with and issue I have with my screen.

The issue is when I first start my computer for the first 15 - 30 mins of it being on on my main screen that is an Acer CB281HK screen it has violent black and white vertical lines going across the screen with random spacing. I have tryed switching connectors and the same thing happens. Some other forums have said that it could be a problem with my ram seating but I don't see why it only happens after a boot of my pc then slowly goes away. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Gladithon

If it was an issue with my gpu why does it just effect 1 monitor

Oh, you have multiple monitors. My bad I didn't see that. Well then you're lucky I guess, it's not your graphics card. Have you checked all the cables? Maybe one is just a little loose or damaged? What type of connection are you using? Are there bent pins?

75% of what I say is sarcastic

So is the rest probably

Did you try the monitor on another computer or tried another connector on the monitor (to confirm if it's the cable, the monitor or the GPU)

Now everytime I try to put it to 60 hz the computer starts to freeze up until I need to restart it.

Try without that monitor at all, see if it's GPU related or not.

I have tried with other cables on the same monitor but I don't get it so I'm assuming that its the cable that is being the fault. I have managed to get it back up to 60hz so Im going to get a new cable asap I will keep this thread updated.
