Automatic Thread Reminder to Mark as Solved

AlTech

I've seen way too many posts which have answers to a problem or need and OP did not Mark the Question as solved.

So I got thinking, why not just set an automatic reminder after X amount of replies to Mark As Solved in threads/topics? And also have an option to temporarily dismiss it.

Doesn't seem impossible to add and would make things a lot easier....

I just went ahead and marked some of my old stuff as solved ^^

Great idea though, I think it'd really help

75% of what I say is sarcastic

@colonel_mortis Can this be implemented? (I know you hate being mentioned in this thread but I haven't seen you on here and you didn't respond to this)

The problem is, finding the right time to show a message like that is almost impossible - if it's too late, the topic will have stopped getting responses, and nobody will see the message, but if it's too early, they will just dismiss it and it won't be showing when they actually need it. Making it show all the time would be too intrusive when a significant number of topics don't need to be marked as solved because that's not what they're about.

Maybe add colors to those buttons? Big colored button to make it stand out and let people spot it easier? So that people can click on it more frequent and thus getting solved answers more
