They are 2 vastly different games, pretty hard to compare them.  If you haven't played another BF game and your not sure if you'd like it I'd skip it, or go watch some streams and see if it looks fun to you, they game is also a lot more fun playing with friends.

Case - NZXT H6 Flow : Mobo - ASRock X670E PG Lightning : PSU - Deepcool PX1000G : CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D w/Arctic Freezer III 360  : Memory - G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32gb 6000mhz CL30 : GPU - MSI Expert 4080 Super : Storage - Verbatim Vi7000G 4tb NVME SSD  : Displays - Gigabyte 32" M32QC Curved 165hz & 27" M27Q Pro 165hz 1440p

There's no objective answer to your question. Personally I prefer the unpredictability, chaos, and sandbox-y gameplay of a Battlefield game. I like having a bigger team where what I do is somewhat less important. I find games that attempt to balance smaller teams against one another either nerve-wracking or boring, depending on how nasty and vocal everyone is. I also don't like being pressured to be on voice chat with randos. But none of that takes away from the fact that Overwatch is an excellent game—probably the better game—for those who enjoy that type of shooter.

If you don't know which is for you, you can always wait for a better sale. Both games seem likely to have long, active lifespans.
