Hello,
I'm planning on building a new PC (most likely with Ryzen/Vega GPU, depending on performance and price). The thing is I want to do a desk PC similar to this one: http://imgur.com/a/gYiZC

My question is how do you screw the PC components in the desk? For instance if I want to change my mobo after some time, most likely the screws won't line up.

How can I fix this issue ? Just drill new holes? Any advice on how to manage the upgradability of this project ? I wouldn't want a desk littered with holes in a few years.
Other advice in how to do the cooling would be nice :) (going for water cooling with flex tubing ) - new to this.

Thanks.

As long as you buy an ATX motherboard you shouldn't have issues with adaptability, unless they change the industry standard for no reason suddenly.

Personal build >  New-ish AMD main gaming setup

Mounting points don't vary. That's how you can mount any Mini-ITX board, Micro ATX board, or ATX board in an ATX case, or both Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX boards in Micro-ATX cases.

Copy the standoff layout from the motherboard tray of any case, and leave marks for the unused holes so you know where to drill later.

That being said, it seems you're new to PC building. I'd advise you to build a PC in a nice case and put it on your desk instead.
