I was bored so I decided to take an old PC and utilise my previous GPU with it. Although, when I started the pc with the GPU, I got no signal on the monitor. The fans powered on, but not the monitor. The rig worked when I tested it initially without the GPU. I don't know whether its fried or not.

GPU: 750ti OC Twin Frozr

Specs of trash pc:

Pentium E5400 Dual Core 2.7ghz

130GB HDD

4G DDR2/3 (I didnt check)

Running on an Intel Board?

Is the PSU powerful enough to run the GPU? Use a PSU calculator to check your PSU is powerful enough

make sure your mobo BIOS is updated

How do I update the bios?

what is your mobo model?

look up the website and go to the download sections to down the BIOS file

load it up into a thumbdrive and go to the BIOS and do the update

the file must be in the root directory

Have a look on your motherboard, and there should be two pins with writing that says CLR_CMOS. Connect those two pins together with something conductive, a screwdriver, scissors, anything. Tap the together for a second, then try resettin. the PC>

Some old mobos may not change the default display to the dedicated GPU, not sure where, but try to find something related to display, and make sure it's set to "PCIe".

Btw, you are not trying to put a PCIe card on a AGP slot are you? Not sure if this is physically possible, but you never know
