Looking for monitors for nVidia Surround

Good day to you all,

With Christmas approaching fast (about a month and a half) I am beginning to think what should I gift myself for the occasion. I came to the conclusion that I really want to go full out and try nVidia surround with 3 monitors. I certainly have some GPU power (2 GTX 680's) and I think the multitasking capabilities of having 3 monitors is superb, also I'm very keen on trying the gaming experience also. My budget would be around 1200 BGN, which is about 832 Dollars.

I've stumbled upon this monitor : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-VN248H-23-8-inch-Monitor/dp/B00DRPZBQI/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1383419268&sr=1-1&keywords=vn248h which looks quite good and fits into my budget, but I'm letting you guys (the experts) think if it's any good and if there are any better for the price which have slim bezels and IPS panels (as I'm saying I'm not an expert in monitors, as that's why i have a 27 inch TN panel at the moment). I don't mind going a little bit over the budget, of course if it's really worth it. I would also ask, if you don't mind, to send links from UK or European sites, since I live in Bulgaria and there aren't many shipping options to there...

Thanks beforehand for helping me with this question.

Best Regards,

Kris.

It looks good, but doesn't 27" get a bit too big for multiple monitors ? As I've never experienced it I can't say much but I'm just wondering. Also with the lack of DVI that the ASUS monitor has what is the diffrence between having it connected with HDMI or DVI ?

the one Linus showcased seems really good for surround and they are ips

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009483&Tpk=H236HL%20bid (only link I could find doubt they ship there)

I checked that video out, they indeed look good, but unfortunately newegg doesn't ship out of North America.

Although I found this : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-H236HLBmjd-inch-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B00B07RA9Q/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1383420006&sr=1-1&keywords=Acer+H236HLbid

Is this the same monitor, with only the diffrence of the last letters of the model?

DVI is a better connector and I wasn't sure what size screens you wanted :D

Oh yeah, sorry I forgot to mention, I'm looking around the 24" size, but as I said, I don't know if bigger is better in this occasion. Also the monitor I have currently uses HDMI-DVI cable and I haven't had any issues with it (gladly) :D

Also I noticed that the Acer monitor does not have a VESA mount, which I was planning on trying out just for convenience.

You know what, I found that monitor exactly through your thread. What is your opinion on it ? I am really fond of it and if there isn't another alternative to it, it might be just the monitor I'll buy.

They are great, colours as very good including the blacks. you can force them to refresh at 75Hz no problem as well. Got all 3 and not one dead pixel :)

I run all mine via HDMI

two edges are HDMI-DVI, middle runs from HDMI-DP

Quack 🦆

Thank you very much for your feedback! I have one more question : If I were to buy these monitors, do I connect them all to one single card or split them up to both cards?
