Using headphone jack for audio output problem

I am currently using the logitech z623 specker setup on my system. I use the main motherboard output when I am using my computer, but I change the 3.5mm jack to the headphones output on my monitor for my ps4 as it does not have rca output. The problem is, when I use it though them, there is hardly any bass at all and it sounds a bit tinny. When its being used through my PC they sound amazing with any problems. I am using an ASUS VS278H monitor and both the PC and PS4 are being output through HDMI. Is it the monitor or the PS4 that's the problem?

It's most likely the monitor, because there's probably only a basic DAC in there to get the job done.
