What case would you buy for 100 USD?

Motivation is where, and what you make of it.

“It is relatively unusual that a physical scientist is truly an atheist. Why is this true? Some point to the anthropic constraints, the remarkable fine tuning of the universe. For example, Freeman Dyson, a Princeton faculty member, has said, ‘Nature has been kinder to us that we had any right to expect.'”  Albert Einstein

Pretty much this.

Anything not by Fractal, is also my rule of thumb.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

Depends on what layout you'd want (ITX, ATX, Micro-ATX)

For a mini-ITX case I would recommend the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX

For an ATX motherboard I'd probably go for the NZXT S340 or the Corsair Carbide 400C for a little more

For a micro-ATX rig I'd go for something like the Bitfenix Prodigy M. Of course you could use an ATX case for a micro ATX motherboard aswell. Same goes for ITX, but that kinda defeats the whole purpose of an ITX board being compact.

I would choose the Cougar Solution AF-2 because I dislike side windows. I just like putting together a system and not thinking about all my components being color matched. Now on the other hand if I was to be gifted a case that had a side window or was clear i would end up making the system color match and look like it should not be used.
