Budget SSD Showdown

Freezanator

Of these 5 SSDs, which one would have the best price to performance ratio? (albeit they're around the same price, but every dollar counts)
Value of 1 MYR = 1 McDonald's Vanilla Sundae Cone (Just to give a rough idea of the currency :))
1. Apacer AS330 Panther 120GB SSD [215 MYR]

2. Transcend SSD220S 120GB SSD [205 MYR]

3. Micron Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB SSD [199 MYR]

4. SanDisk SSD Plus 120GB SSD [199 MYR]

5. PNY CS1311 120GB SSD [209 MYR]

I'd like to hear your opinions on each SSD and which one would be the best choice. :)

what you gonna do with a 120gb drive a nice cavier black wd 1tb should be fine

There's always that one person who strays away from the original post...

I'm getting a 120GB SSD for my future build to compliment the 1TB HDD and run both at the same time. (SSD for Windows and HDD for mass storage)

I think that 120gb is too little maybe if you choose to go with a 120gb ssd you can get another one in  the future make a raid 0 config or maybe get a 250gb ssd now. To find out which one is better just look at ssd rankings online.

I'm just building a simple gaming PC and I don't want to run my drives in any sort of RAID. As simple as that. Also, the reason I'm asking about those SSDs here is because I can't find reviews of every one of them online.

PNY. The others are either unreliable brands or (in the Sandisk's case) just suck.

Have you had a PNY SSD before or know anyone using it? :)

I'd go with the PNY one. I have the bigger brother with MLC (CS2211 480GB) flash and it's basically like a less expensive 850 Evo.

@Mooshi @wrathoftheturkey I've just found a Samsung 750 EVO 120GB SSD. Is it worth spending the extra 13 MYR (2.90 USD) worth of money on that SSD over the PNY one? :)

I'd still get the PNY personally unless the 850 Evo model was on sale instead of the 750.

That's odd. I thought Samsung's lineup of SSDs were the best. :)

Why PNY when the evo is only a few dollars more?

@Mooshi @wrathoftheturkey @Wingfan Sorry if this troubles you, but I found yet another SSD. The Adata Premier Pro SP900 128GB SSD. Best SSD among the PNY CS1311, Samsung 750 EVO and the SP900? :)

Just a pref is all, in the real world you wouldn't notice a difference. That said, I'd still suggest a 850 Evo if you can get a good deal on them--it's what I upgraded the GF's rig to recently.  Both are fine, I'd just suggest to get whichever is least expensive.

I agree the 850 would be better, but the price i think is a bigger difference, not sure would have to look.
