I have a price range of about $1500 AUD, I'll be buying it from PCCG most likely. I think with my price range I'm look at 1060 but it may be possible for me to jump up to a 1070 depending on the overall price of the gpu, cpu, etc.Overall I'm just looking for some help from the more experienced pc builders, more or less I'm asking you guys to help me build the whole PC since I'm not entirely sure on what the best options are.

I'd also prefer if I were to not build the PC myself, I'm fine with Labour costs for installing the OS and building the PC.

Aim - I'm aiming for a solid gaming PC that will last throughout 2017 and be able to run most of the higher up games at a solid FPS.

NOTES:

Monitor - I'm only interested in a 60Hz 1080p monitor, a single one. I'll upgrade to more monitors or a 144Hz at a later date, as of now I just want to get a working 60fps, 1080p gaming PC that will outshine my 4 year old laptop that struggles to run anything.

OS - I'll need an OS, windows 10 preferably as I've become accustomed to it.

Peripherals - The only peripheral I believe would be necessary is a Keyboard, I already have one but I would like to upgrade to a better keyboard, nothing above $200 AUD, preferably Blue or Brown switches.

I'll add it to the main post but if possible I'd prefer if I didn't have to build the PC myself. I'm most likely capable but not the most confident with it.

Is there a service in Australia where you pay and they build for you? If so just order these parts I listed above. Also. Does 1500 aud includes a monitor too? Cuz it might come in close

It is possible for me to go over $1500, I could try and stretch for a bit higher but it is seeming pretty unlikely.

If you're only getting a 60hz 1080p monitor, no need. just get an RX480/GTX 1060 6g.

Personal build >  New-ish AMD main gaming setup

PLEASE QUOTE OR @ ME FOR A RESPONSE xD

With the CPU I was planning on only going for something like a i5 6600 or 6600k, I don't need an i7 since I don't do any video editing or anything that really requires an i7, it seems a bit overkill, an i5 should be plenty but once again I'm not the most knowledgeable about these things.

Wouldn't a 1060 6g be more effecient than the RX 480? Isn't it just cheaper and a better equivalent? Also with the power supply couldn't you get a 500w or 550w for $99?

1. 480 and 1060 is on par. And pairing with freesync is a huge advantahe as its only available for Amd only. Gsync nvidia costs too much

2. 450w is enough for your build. Other PSU are not good even though they have more wattage. Seasonic makes really good power supply.

Thank you for explaining the card and I thought I saw a 550w seasonic posted up earlier but I was wrong, thanks for the help on this, I'm not too sure about getting it built though, I might have to look into that, I'm pretty sure a local shop nearby is able to, I'll have to ask them.

I've already checked them out and had a PC built from them that I was going to buy since it was my only option, but since my options widened and I could buy online I thought to come here and see if I could get it cheaper, I'll probably run the build through with them and ask them as well.

This is not bad. But you dropped to a rx 480 4gb. Not sure if OP needs to oc their CPU. I5 6500 non k will be fine for most task.
