Overclock not working

GOT IT! ok soooo, it turns out my bios has some grphical glitch where things are there but i cant see them, i magically managed to find the OC genie which is better than nothing! i got a 4.3 GHZ OC from the genie, ik my chip could do better but im not complaining i got a ok OC and I'm happy with it :D Thanks for all the help though guys :)

Hey guys, so i just got fx 8350 and im trying to OC to atleast 4.2, sadly its not working, the second i hit apply the screen glitches out and then reboots the PC, i used amd overdrive, same as i did when i OC'ed my fx 6300 to 4.4GHZ and it just wont work on this CPU now :/, i can OC the volts but not the core multiplier any help?

 

MOBO MSI 970A-G43

CPU FX 8350

PSU EVGA 750W

cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Don't use AMD Overdrive. Overclock using the BIOS. If that doesn't work, you most likely lost the silicon lottery.

Overdrive works great for me, where was BIOS is a pain in the rear.

there is no cool n quiet mode or power saving mode all there is is eco, standard or msi settings, i checked in the settings and also no cool n quiet mode or any power saving mode, also no override mode either
