What cpu should i get?

I have a gtx 1060 6gb 8gb of ram and a intel corei7 860. Looking to upgrade my cpu. What should i get or should i upgrade something else? My budget is 350$. I am just a 1080p gamer. Not much else

Why tho? i7 is still capable. You would most likely get a newer i5 for that budget which is almost like a downgrade

Just bc it's a corei7 doesn't mean its good. It is a corei7 860 with like 2.8 ghz. Its like 7 years old and my performance shows that

You're right. You might not be able to get an overclockable CPU with that budget but just look at ark.intel.com. It lists just about every CPU they've made and it displays the details about that CPU (core clock frequency, core amount, if it can be overclocked and even the cache)

Or just a DDR3 board  But DDR4 can be used for more upgrades and therefore will last longer.
