Hey guys,

Not sure if this answer is on here or if this is the right forum to post under but any help would be very much appreciated. I tried asking in Power Supplies but didn't seem to get any answers. I'm trying to buy custom cables for my build and I bought the CableMod cables but they are the "Extension Kit" which I have found out cant be used to plug directly into the PSU. I have a Corsair AX760 (not the "i" just the AX760) I'm looking at returning the extension kit and buying this BitFenix Kit but I'm not sure if these are ok to plug directly into the PSU and if they are compatible with the 760 I see they are compatible with the AX760i Really cant find information on this and would love some help.

Thanks!

You need to contact Cablemod's support as the say in their compability list as they require a different 24 pin than the AX760i series, @CableMod should be able to help you with that.

I contacted BitFenix because I'm looking at the kit I linked to above. I purchased the CableMod "Extension Kit" not knowing that those can't be plugged directly into the PSU so I'm probably going to return that CableMod kit. thank you for your help.

The cables from bitfenix are also extensions.

They plug into your current PSU cables, not directly into the PSU.

Anything that is called an extension will not plug into the PSU.
