I am planning to buy the Sennheiser HD 650s, powered by the Schiit Magni 2 and Modi 2 stack combo. However, I am curious about the different iterations of the Magni and Modi (Uber, Multibit). I want to know which ones would be best to get? I will eventually get an external soundbar, so I'm assuming that I would need another port for that? Help is appreciated, thanks!

Regular Magni + Modi is not werf in my view now that the Fulla 2 has been released. It only makes sense if you need the power of the Magni, which you don't. The Fulla is more versatile and has a better volume knob.

I'm not going to run down a point-by-point feature comparison of the different products. I presume you know how to find the Schiit website and read the product pages.

Multibit preserves all the original samples in your music by processing the data as PCM throughout and outputing the signal as a discrete voltage step for each bit in each input sample. This is instead of converting to PDM and performing the final digital to analog conversion via Delta/Sigma modulation as with most modern DACs. If you are not using exclusively redbook material or better, I'd say there is not great need to go to the modi multibit in your particular case. DACs sound more similar than different.

The Fulla 2 is also a cute lil Schiit
