Is painting a motherboard super risky? Are there professional options?

Remixt

I'm tired of looking at my ugly ass Rampage V's flamboyant redness. I'm thinking about painting it, but the damn thing cost me near $500. Does anyone have a ton of experience in this? I saw Linus's video and it doesn't seem that difficult, but I really don't want to make a $500 mistake for the sake of aesthetics.

IMHO, a better option would be to sell your current motherboard and get an ASUS Strix X99 or a Rampage V Extreme Edition 10

You would be better off replacing the board or color coordinating to match since it would require less effort but can be done as linus showed, however I would still not totally recommend doing so.
