Extending wi-fi throughout the House

Currently I have a netlink router on the 1st floor of my house, but it only reaches the 1st floor. Anyone have suggestions to extend the wifi signal throughout my whole house?

If you can run some cat5 then id suggest getting an AP (access point) and putting it somewhere where you need the wireless, works with powerline too if you cant go around running cables.

Other option is range extenders, but these are sometimes strange as far as setting up goes.

Something wrong with your connection ?

Run the damn cable :)

Wifi extenders or a router that support Extender Mode (i recently use a TP-Link Nano for that), Power line solution

Cisco has a very good wifi extender, i would personally as a student in networking buy a Cisco extender.
