PCIe WiFi Card

Guest

So this WiFi card I got from Asus, it's an Asus PCE AC68, drops connection when I'm gaming and loading YouTube videos. I have the latest driver so the issue isn't on my end. I'm looking for something else. Just wondering if there's any preference out there for WiFi cards/networking solutions. I'm looking to replace mine. Needs to be PCIe standard.

Ok I'll walk you through this...

Whats your internet subscription speed?

What router you got at home? How far away from the router is your PC and what are the obstacles obstructing line of sight?

Jumping to conclusions before you even hear the story?

Yikes.

If its new, get it replaced. I have the same adapter and its working fine.

That and an RT-AC68U put through the paces with my uncapped 1Gbps subscription, for good measure.

If you wana get something else, maybe one from TP-Link

No need to get an overkill adapter for a slow router or internet line. Of course unless you need it to compensate for range.

RAM'd it and they sent me a brand new one. Their report claims it was an issue with 5G? It seems to have been a hardware issue. I gave it a shot on Mac and haven't experienced issues with it that I was having before with the old one. It's actually more stable on the Mac side of things than Windows... which is very very very strange....

but hey it works... so... yeah...

(would like to see improvements on their windows driver though)
