Same Product key twice?

Can I use the same product key twice if I bought a disc version of windows 10, which I used on another older computer. but I want to build a new computer so can I use the same product key/ disc.

AFAIK, the product key is tied to the "original" computer's BIOS, and even if you somehow transferred the key, it would *probably* be deactivated on the first computer.

You don't buy windows, you buy a license to run windows, which is tied up to the Personal Computer you first install it, there a few ways to try transferring it though, however if its one of those Windows that comes with a brand new laptop you bought from the internet then it will always only work on that machine regardless.

you can activate retail keys multiple times but you may encounter certain machines deactivating or the entire licence and key being deactivated

Like I just said, no you can not, laptop original included OS have their license locked to their motherboard and can not be transferred.

this is untrue. OEM licences can be used on any board and any system as long as the machine the key came from is dead or disassembled. You may have to contact MS, but it will usually result in a reactivation.
