i7 6700k Buy now or wait?

Hello, I have a question about should I buy or wait ... even though there's a CPU that already fills my requirements on the market. I have been informed about a great deal on offer: an i7 6700k cheaper than an i5 6600k for only £205!

Should I take it up or should I wait to see what Kabylake has to offer?

This may help you with your answer, it the last part I need to finish my upgrade, that's right I already own a z170 motherboard, DDR4 ram and a CPU cooler that can full fill my overclocking needs. It's £100 cheaper than off the shelf price from a trusted supplier.

edit ...

Thanks for the feedback, but I have decided to bite the bullet and purchase the CPU!

Go for it, the 7700k will be around £320 or more, more than likely.

I'd get it now.  Kaby isn't going to be that much better.  We all know what Intel tick/tocks get us nowadays.  Some power improvements and a small bump in performance.

Laws only govern the honest.

ok then go for the i7 but still wait for zen. Intel prices will drop drastically because of the specs on ryzen.  You could go for an extreme or a kaby lake series cpu once the prices go down.  Red or blue, wait for zen.

This will depend greatly on how AMD sets the MSRP of the RYZEN line.  We've been bitten by that bug before.

Even at $400 usd where the pc community would buy the chip, no one would buy the i7 because it has 4 cores and would cost much much more.

THIS is why the real benchmarks will matter.  No one will pay $400 for a 10% performance boost over the FX series.  But the hype is claiming 40% so we just don't know yet.

But if you look at the i7 4790k and i7 6700k pricing.

This caused by the product not being manufactured or not as commonly made as much as its newer counterpart. This leads  it to being  more rarer in the market so people may be willing pay more.

Maybe, but it's hard to have faith at this point.  My last AMD chip was the Phenom II.  And I was hard core RED for years and years.  Then I switched to a 2600k.  Then to a 4770k.  AND I WANT AMD to be on top again sooooooooo bad.  It hurts a little.
