Does it hurt to experiment, there's no definitive answer

I want to know if putting them over the gap so you can see them will be tacky or not. I'm thinking they probably will, but I'd like someone with more experience to help me.

Just put them on if you don't like where they are put them in the second option

Alright so I got my lights thanks to @W-L and @Scheer for picking them for me. Now I need to know wether or not I should place the to go over this wire management gap or not.

Where is that exactly, but it would work without any problem if you needed to route it through there.

There are the 2 wire management slits. I'm wondering if the LED light strip itself (not the wires for power and such) should span the entire backend of my desk, so they'd be covering the back of the wire management slits and clearly visable, or if I should just put the LED light strip in between the wire management strips.

also how can I if possible do multiple different strips of the LEDs in different places? So like one on the back of my desk and maybe one just above it attached to the monitor stand.

If you want to backlight the desk it would be best to have it a little ways away from the wall for the light to shine off the back wall surface to give it a more even glow. As for the LED's you can cut them to length and wire them as needed so they have a gap or connector at the wire management point to make it easier to route cables or move things through there.

Well I got it as good as I can for now.

i would like to add more closer to the edges, how would I do that since the one thing is already taken up. Also what is this other wire coming out of the box?

That extra line is an IR receiver for the remote control, you can extend the leads to route things a little cleaner and if needed cut the LED's the length and wire them with splitters or chain them together to have multiple strings connected end to end.

How do I chain them together?

and almost finished with my setup, just need the LTT posters and a little more wire management to go.

You can get adapters like this or cut the strips and solder leads to each length:

https://www.amazon.com/HitLights-Light-Gapless-Connector-Multicolor/dp/B00TJ0LTUC?th=1

https://www.amazon.com/HitLights-Light-Gapless-Connector-Multicolor/dp/B00GAC4UXA?th=1

If your interest I have a general guide here on Wiring LED's if you want to solder them:

I read that last time you linked it, for things like that I need a video to better understand how to do it though.

Which part do you need help on mainly, this shows it decently well, for linking short strips together into a chain:

I don't have any soldering skills nor the equipment.

Ok, then those connectors I linked earlier would be perfect then since those require no soldering as they are just a close down crimp connector.

But the ones you linked me had no exposed wired when I cut them, how do I attach it then

the LED strip

Are you referring to the LED strip or the connectors like theses, they are crimp connectors they have metal fingers that make contact and get pushed into the material when the top clip is closed.

I'm referring to the LED light strip itself.

What do you mean there is no wire, the strip has no wires it's just a flexible type ribbon with copper contacts at the cut points where you can apply the crimps or solder to.

I understand now lol I'm dumb.

but mine has three copper contacts not four, I couldn't find a 3 pin option in the one you linked.

Do so these have to be specific to the LEDs I bought or are they all the same and I can buy whichever just so long as it has the right number of pins?
