Hi everyone... my cousin got a computer for christmas. anyway he plugged everything in and set the monitor to HDMI 1 and plugged the hdmi cord into the pc. the pc is running fine but the monitor says "HDMI no signal" (this is using a benq 2755) we looked up some YT videos and he's to nervous to open up the case (despicable). looking from the outside we noticed a cord that is not plugged in coming from the graphics card going to the psu. it was very short so we thought it wasnt meant to go into there. Also every time that the monitor turns on it says HDMI no signal and then straight away goes into rest mode... we are wondering whats wrong. thanks

Just to make sure but have you checked both hdmi ports?

Could you please explain the cable you think is meant to go to the PSU?

there are a few cables plugged into the gpu that are combined into one. the go down into the psu. one is shorter and looks like some kind of usb or something
