Worth the money to upgrade to Z170?

Hey all, so at the moment i am running an i5 4460 and an Evga 1070sc. I have a PG248Q from Asus and I've really been set on buying either the ROG 34in or the x34 but lately i've been thinking that maybe i should just upgrade to the newest platform. I play alot of WoW which is more of a CPU intensive game and get anywhere from 45-60 fps in major cities filled with people. In raids i get around 60-75 but i also play alot of other games as well and waiting for star citizen to release. Would jumping up to a i7-6700k and ddr4 be a better upgrade to what i have now?

not worth the boost. grab a xeon e-1231 if you mobo supports it if you want a better cpu

If you have a z97, just get a used 4790k overclock to around 4.5 - 4.7ghz, it will be significantly cheaper than a 6700k, new mobo and memory, and you will be within 10% of the performance of the 6700k.

Sadly my board doesn't support Xeons.

it supports that zeon. basically a locked I7 for cheaper. Or you could get a 4770k/4790k
