Quiet reference cards?

So I'm sitting here with my two 980ti Hybrids singing the song of their people. And I wonder if there's a way to quiet them a bit. Not silent, but enough to keep the 747 parked outside my house from continuously attempting to breed with my computer. As I guess a turbine noise that gives a reference 290 insecurities could probably stand to be improved on. And when I say improved on, I don't mean crossing the decibel level of a 80's hair band, but actually bringing it down to a horny stray cat. That would be nice.

They are liquid cooled so you could adjust the fan curve. Or better yet slap an EK block on them

That's just it. Adjust one you adjust the other and my case is packed pretty full so my radiator fans are case fans. Installed quieter fans on the radiator, Corsair SP. It's the damn fan on the card. It's at 22% right now and you can hear them in the next room.

I've had the shrouds off a few times. Ether from switching them or plain boredom. Nothing hitting them. The Hybrid was always loud, it's the duet that has me thinking of ways to quiet them. Don't see that you can replace the fan on the card. Blocks are not in the budget. Can't find a passive cooler for the VRM's, but thought maybe someone might have seen something.

Have you considered removing the reference fan from its power? I don't think it'll work but it's worth a try.

I did. Haven't figured out a way to track the VRM's. They don't come up in Afterburner, maybe I'll check out PrecisionX again.

Yeah. howls like a banshee. We'll, compared to a air cooled cards they're loud. My Classy was silent in comparison, even under load. I've had both in the case by themselves, both are loud.

Ya can't. On nvidia(most) cards. Due to their underwhelming vrm. I'd imagine your classy should have one but for most nvidia cards you need something else to check for vrm temps.
