I currently have the Corsair VOID RGB wired (black). Its 7.1. but it doesnt have the normal 3.5mm headphone jack like most others. Its USB. I also had the Logitech G430. Its also 7.1 and well made and its wired with the normal 3.5mm headphone jack. Both have  swivel ear covers. The void runs usually about 80 USD and the G430 is somewhere near that price. The VOID one has a foam pad strip on the headstrap which is pretty soft

dongle???

Headset comes with a dongle that gives you "7.1" but its pretty artificial. Other than that I like to tell people to avoid using it because it has a bunch of other issues as well..

Headset itself is great though

I've been thinking about cloud 2's, but those dongle problems are repelling me. I am right to assume that if I use a splitter cable to go to 3.5mm audio and mic jacks I lose all volume control options outside of windows volume mixer? And do they have different revisions or just firmware updates. The latter one has been suggested by kingston support themselves.

ohh ok but that aint a problem

it is really low quality, in every way. Low audio quality and low build quality

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC
