Not using already connected 6+2 pin cable

Hi guys, I'm building a new pc and got a Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 800W which is semi-modulair. Now it already has a 6+2 pin cable connected to it standard. But the end of that cable is black and yellow wires. The extra modulair 6+2's are just black. Now I was wondering if it would be a problem if I didn't use the standard and just left it empty, so I can use the nicer black cable.
