fx 8320e for vr?

I want to start coding for VR programs but my rig is kind of outdated.

I can replace my 950 with a 980ti and bump up my ram but my question here is do I have to upgrade my cpu too?

 

The recommended specs for the cpu was an Intel Core i5 4590  or greater.

I am using an AMD 8320e will this be enough?

 

 

(Also on a side note will 2 gtx 950s in SLI be better than a 980ti for vr?)

Cpu is enough,don't SLI 950s better go with single better card.
