Remove shadows on white sheet background

Im using a pure white bedsheet as a background for my music videos, (Im on a budget) and the sheet itself has creases and folds in it that create shadows from the lights above. And tips for kinda removing those shadows and making it look pure white in editing? specifically in Vegas Pro 14? I know simply ironing the sheet could work too, but I want the knowledge for future video editing as well. If it matters, Im recording in 720p 30fps.

Hang it tighter, and steam it. If you don't have a steamer, a kettle works, or the steam from an iron.

Also, be sure to light it very evenly, with lots of light.

As someone already said, you need to stretch it tight. You can put weights at the bottom, stretch it using clamps or strong tape.  You should also lightly iron out the wrinkles, doesn't have to be super smooth.  And light it up, sometimes it pays to over brighten a white backdrop.
