LG 22M45 flashing issue

I've had this LG 22M45 1080p 22 inch monitor for a while now, ever since the very beggining I've had this issue where the display would flash whenever there was a high contrast area on the screen (like small white text on a black background), I don't think this is a common issue, and the monitor has no warranty anymore. I always dealt with it, as it didn't bother me, but now it does. I usually need to fiddle with the contrast or brightness to make the display even appear, like turning the contrast from 50 to 22 would decrease or stop the flashing (it usually just goes completely black, and i have to decrease the contrast by memory). Anyone else had this issue, or has any idea how to fix it?
