help me out with this problem! :) appreciate your help!

Hey guys,

What do you think about the i5 6500 paired with a gtx 1070?

i was thinking what motherboard should i buy tho?

i really don't know a thing about the features that premium mobo have so...

i found this AsRock b150 pro4 that is a mini itx board that cost around 75 euros..

it support the ddr4 2133mhz that is kinda what i wanted..

then it should support an ssd and an hdd?

then 1 thing i was thinking do i need a certain mobo to be able to use the turbo boost of the cpu?

or any mobo is going to work fine?

the final idea is this one

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pjWpQV ($=euro)

the ssd that is missing is this one https://www.amazon.it/PNY-SSD7CS900-120-PB-SSD-Interno-120GB/dp/B01KFLH1WS/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1482333676&sr=8-9&keywords=ssd+120+gb

guys i need serious answers tho,

i have around 80euros to spend on a mobo so if  u have some advice feel free to tell me...

and... the 1070 that im thinking to get is a big one so do you think is gonna stress to much the mobo?

or is no big deal?

this one was another idea https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LZFV2R

but i think that a 1070 with the 6500 will still outperform the 1060 with the 6600k..

but still what do you guys think?

The combination is fine. 600W is overkill, though. A decent 450-500W PSU is plenty.

As long as you don't want to do 100Hz+ gaming in heavy AAA titles, the i5 is more than adequate. The 1070 will be a great match.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Depepnds on the game you play the i5 6500 with 1070 will do what you need. In some case the i5 6500 will bottleneck 1070

Seasonic S12II if you have it is a good PSU. Or Corsair CX450M/550M

do you know some good 450-500 psu? that cost kinda the same amount of money?

and the mobo is fine?

My screen support only 70hz max i think!

Mobo is fine. The CX450M/CX550M are both decent opions, like @deXxterlab97 mentioned.

Whats the goal of the build? What games at what res/refresh rate?

the goal of the build is playng some newer game at 1080p under the 100hz

im not a great fun of the 6600k costs so i decided to go on a 6500 and get a better gpu instead of the 1060/rx 480..

RX 480 is what you wan't. Better than 1060, will handle 1080 under 100fps fine.

Computers r fun

Good call. You can always upgrade to a Kaby Lake i5 down the road.

The new CX series is actually quite well built. The old CX600 and CX430 were known for fireworks and failure.

hell yeah.. so this thing https://www.amazon.it/dp/B019NWTCEA/ref=twister_B01086FU2I?_encoding=UTF8&th=1 is gonna do his job fine?

isnt a bit to little for a 1070?

Wattage isn't as important as the components the PSU is made of. By the way, holy smokes that's overpriced. I can get it new for 55 shipped here in the Netherlands. Then again, we don't have Amazon for anything but books.

For that price, get this one instead:

CXM is modular though. Cheaper and he won't be needing more than 450w even with a 1070

Some people don't screw in their graphics card. That'll break the PCI-E slot, yes. Just fasten it correctly and it'll be fine. I ghetto'd a zip tie from the PCIE 6-pin to the HDD cage with my 780Ti. Didn't even look half bad lol.

Fair enough, but the Seasonic has better quality components and a higher output for the same price.
