Windows problems

 I built a custom PC today and everytime i download a piece of software (skype, gpu drivers, steam)  windows will just go black and the computer stays on but the screen is just black and idk what is going on? help

My guess is it is attempting to run the UAC (user account control) and you have to "left arrow then Enter" for it to accept the UAC authentication. You may want to tweak some UAC settings... Do  you have multiple monitors?

Maybe it's the GPU drivers? Have they been fully installed or are you installing multiple things at a time?

Maybe try and install the GPU first, and after that I would highly suggest you make sure your Chipset driver is up to date aswell.
