So first of, I live in Indonesia where internet are way too expensive for the speed it offers. Now, i have an ADSL connection with a down speed of 512kilobit and up speed of 128kilobit(yeah i know it's slow, but it does what i need :P), I got max download speed and upload speed and youtube & multiplayer are fine.

Now my problem:

- A week ago, i suddenly can't connect to the internet, but i can connect to my modem router. so since the incident was at night, i can't call my ISP.

- Then a day after that, i didn't do anything but suddenly i can connect everything all fine but a new problem arises, my download speed got F*ck*d up! i can't seem to get max speed (which is 64kilobytes per second), I only get the speed of a 384kilobit plan which is around 40kilobytes per second :(  so i call my ISP and they fix it.... or not?

- After all that hussle, i get my max speed back BUT i have this anomaly where when i download something, i get max speed flat stable but after around 10 seconds after, it got back to a 384kilobit plan and it can't go back to 512kilobit. and sometimes the download doesn't respond AKA not downloading anything and failed :(. it's annoying me because youtube LAGS alot and multiplayer is RUBBER BANDING! now if i restart the download, i got the same problem where i get max speed stable for only 10 seconds.

What should i do? or should i get 1Megabit plan? will it fix this problem?
-My pc is fine no virus.

-No splitter is attached

Please help ASAP
i have a feeling that my ISP hates me and secretly does something bad to my internet D:

Make sure you're the only one connected to the internet, maybe there's that only program that's connecting to the internet?

Also, I feel very bad for you, I have a subscription in Belgium that offers 120 mbps down and 5 mbps up and that are my actual speeds.
I feel bad for ever complaining about speeds...

Grammar nazis are people too!
Treat your local grammar nazi nicely and he might teach you a thing or two. (Note that I'm Belgian and not a native English speaker.)

Latency is more important than download/upload speed for gaming. Games do not in general use that much bandwidth. This is because it would take longer for the packets to be sent and received and therefore increase latency (please note that when you see your ping displayed in a game, it is usually a fixed packet size being sent backwards and forwards, while your actual game data is much larger, and therefore takes longer to send and receive).

Try to ping your default gateway from CMD. If the average is 0ms its ok. Try swapping routers with another one if you can. Also test your ethernet card can be a driver failure or that is phisically broken and you need a new one. To test it you need a loop rj45 look in google how to do one is very easy to do

It's your ISP. They must be limiting bandwidths to accommodate more users, or they have a problem in their network somewhere that they are trying to resolve. This is relatively common in southeast asian countries. If nothing has changed on your computer and your network hardware, with no hidden programs and virus whatsoever, it is most likely your ISP.

They can tell you that they fixed it even though they did not, it happens a lot, trust me i work in the same industry.
