Hello everyone! First post here so be easy on me...I recently found 2 980 ti's for dirt cheap. I bought them, threw it into my system, had a few SLI setup problems but figured those out (I think), and it has worked fine for the past 2 days. Today I got an error from windows 7 saying something similar to "your computer is having trouble, downgrade it to a simpler version?" or something similar to that. I thought "This probably isn't that bad of a thing" but then the problems started. What the real problem is the screen tearing. It's not so bad on games, but I'm running 2 monitors and I watch youtube videos while I play the games and it kills YouTube videos. I looked up how to stop it, and nothing worked. I do have adaptive v-sync on, which everything has been telling me to do. I don't know if this is a quick fix or just an SLI problem I have to deal with forever (god I hope not). I have tried so many things, so please help! Also, just found this out the screen tearing doesn't go away when I only have 1 980ti, what the actual **** is happening!??!

I have 2 monitors, an Asus VE247 and an AOC 2252W, both are 60hz at 1080p. Yes it still tears with 1 for some reason. and it happens on both monitors.

What have you done so far to try to fix the issue? Tried wiping the drivers out with DDU and then clean installing? I find it strange Windows 7 would show a error like that.

Do you have something like MSI afterburner or GPU-Z that can track the GPU clock speeds? Does the GPU clock go up with load as expected?

I have done every kind of wipe with DDU and clean installed the 376.33 driver more than once. I am not so familiar with clock speeds, but on afterburner I did see the clock speeds go up initially but then go back down, hope that that is normal.

It should stay at a clock speed when it's under load (game / other some other GPU load).

I hope the Windows 7 reinstall fixes it. Sad that the GPUs gave you this much headache though.

I've been looking for my windows install disc for 2 days now, and cannot find it, so no install reinstall of windows until I can get $25 to buy in off Kinguin. Until then I am still looking for ideas.

Ah, that's got to suck. Yeah, you can buy Windows 7 from Microsoft Reddit. I've bought several Windows 7, 8, and 10 keys there. I think Windows 7 is $25 there. Office keys are available as well.
