Does my laptop support 1440p60?

EdwardBrown

My laptop has intel hd graphics 4000 and outputs via hdmi 1.4.

Does anyone know if 1440p60 is supported by intel hd graphics 4000 over hdmi 1.4.

PLEASE only reply if you have real world experience of this issue.

HD 4000 IIRC on laptops is limited to 1900x1200 at 60Hz via HDMI.

It also depends which version of HDMI 1.4 it is. Just 1.4, 1.4a, or 1.4b.

I need to know the exact combination of components - I hear many stories of intel hdg4000 only supporting 1440p55 over hdmi.

I've read on several forums and it appears to be you are limited to displayport to do this with HD 4000 graphics.

I read on it and saw something about intel restriction drivers to force you to use new hardware that's why it may work in my lapyop which has ubuntu but might not work in windows 10
