NVMe on X79??? Rampage 4 extreme

Hey peeps,

 

Just asking if anyone got an NVMe drive working as a boot drive on a Rampage 4 extreme. The motherboard peeps said no but I found youtube videos with people running intel 750 ssds on the RIVE.

 

I have a Rampage 4 extreme with a 3930k and wanted to put my old 750 in there as a boot drive.
