My Samsung N150 Plus encountered a problem with hal.dll beoming corrupt. A simple rebuild of the bootcfg fixed it. But the problem didn't end there:

After the BIOS splash screen, I was prompted which version of XP I want to enter: One with the fixed bootcfg, and another with the missing hal.dll. I checked drive C and the amount of data spent is just equivalent to 1 version of Windows, which is the one with the fixed bootcfg.

So the q here is: How can I remove the Version of windows with the broken hal.dll?

Wait...Is the other version of Windows on a different partition? Or a different drive?

Why are you even running XP anyways? You better have a very good reason for using XP still or I'm sending Logan to your house with a very strongly worded threat.

I know the meme and what it means but I simply cannot (and will not) Use Ubuntu (and Linux)... I don't want to go 1982 when Alan Bradley and Kevin Flynn still has to type long MS-DOS-like commands to execute them. (You get the reference)

Yea okay maybe Ubuntu sucks but its way faster and way more secure and up to date then Windows XP.

Ubuntu will run better on the net book than Windows.
