quick question about windows on my new computer

i currently have a laptop which initially came with a regular harddrive in it with windows 8 pre-installed from the oem, i updated to windows 10, then i bought an ssd and cloned my drive on the ssd and did windows reinitialization, so far everything works on my laptop.

i bought a new system that i will be assembling next week, and my plan is to just plug my ssd with windows 10 cloned from my initial laptop harddrive into the new rig, then do a windows reinitialization to wipe all the old laptop drivers and files and start anew. what are the issues i could face, and what would be the best solution in your mind. i plan to install a new windows liscence into the old laptop harddrive and put it back into the laptop too.

You need to freshly install a new OEM OS. Just format your old HDD and install OS.

Or do you want to take out the old OS and leave the HDD with all its files, then install new OS?

I never heard of such an oddball way of doing things that way.

How much space you got on the HDD free and used?

You need the ISO file, or a CD/DVD or USB of the OS you want, do you have one of those?

Yes you need that code. There are programs that can detect the code of an OEM OS, when the HDD is not formatted. I have done that with my Vista system. From there its easy. But companies now format and wipe used computers. Other companies just sell you the computer without a HDD. Which adds another $100 to the system for an OS, but it curtails stupid fucks from returning and just being stupid fucks in general, so cant blame the companies for doing it that way.

I hope things work out for you, and hopefully they have CSReps that speak fluent english with no non American accents.
