When trying to use my computer this morning I found that a little while after startup, it would blue screen. Eventually found that the issue was my WD green 3tb drive, or something on it, as when it was disconnected, I no longer had the issue. As far as I can tell, every time Steam (which is saved on the WD green) opens, and finishes its usual check for updates thing the computer crashes.

Has anyone else had problems with Steam crashing PC's?

Unisntall it and reinstall on another drive. Its most likely not issue with single software. More so if this has started suddenly. Check that drive is OK (CrystalDiskInfo etc.), run defragment software on it and make sure Windows is updated. Just for making sure, test various software and files on that HDD. This might be something like bad sector causing the issues.

If you want to you can upload the dump files and I can check if it actually is the HDD that causes the crash!

Thus, from the war of nature, from famine and death, the most exalted object which we are capable of conceiving, namely, the production of the higher animals, directly follows. There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.
