After getting my case today I was so happy so I started building everything in it.
Once installed, test booted and everything went normally.
Then I noticed that 1 of my front intake fans wasn't spinning... So turned PC off and switch cables..
Switched PC back on and noticed that now the other fan was not spinning.

After further looking I saw this

Has anyone ever seen this?
Looks like the CHIP blew or something...
Will take it back to my shop tomorrow ofcourse!

Yeah, you definitely need to ship that back.

It's a simple fan monitor/controller combo, drives the fan and tells the bios the rpm.  The exact model should be Nuvoton NCT3949s  but it's not listed on their website.  They only have NCT3940s and NCT3941s which are limited to maximum 0.5A output.. : http://www.nuvoton.com/hq/products/power-management/voltage-regulators/fan-driver-ic-series/?__locale=en

Could be the NCT3949 is a custom order for Asus or for a few companies, capable of more than 0.5A

I can't find the chip at reputable distributors.

So best bet would be to just return the motherboard to warranty and they'll replace the chip or give you another motherboard (or a refurbished motherboard). If you don't want the risk of getting a refurbished motherboard and the motherboard works as it is now, you should let it be... the board won't be damaged, simply the connector won't work.

If the board doesn't work now, most likely it's probably a short circuit in the damaged chip preventing the power supply from starting, in which case you could take the motherboard to some service place and ask them to desolder the chip from the board (if you don't have a soldering iron at home and the skills)

The motherboard should then start with the chip completely removed from the board and no chip installed in that location

I can't be 100% sure but it's most likely the chip will be compatible with those nct3940s and nct3941s (same pinout)... you could try your luck and buy one from eBay, i saw a pack of 5 for 12.5$ and have those other chips installed in the place of the damaged one.
