I just bought battlefield 4 for pc, I popped in the cd and nothing happened, i even go to my computer i dont see anything, i restarted comp nothing happened, i tried everything, the cd is just not showing up, and the dvd drive is shown in the bios thing, but when i put in a cd nothing happens. please help

try doing what they said, or reinstall the drivers for the CD drive, maybe its that. You can also try another disk drive.  Please also make sure you didn't just thrash your registry with a registry cleaner, not knowing which ones to keep and delete.  If none of those work, or you haven't used a crappy reg cleaner simply return the disk, as its probably corrupt

I don't know if EA have still annoying thing where you can't use DVDkey to redeem game in Origin. You could try that. I get my dvd either today or tomorrow and be able to test it. If you can't get it to work, contact Origins support. They may ask your receipt but you should be able to redeem online that way.

Try putting another DVD/CD in, it may be a faulty optical drive.

If the optical drive reads other disks, its a fault with the optical drive.

 

If the DVD doesn't work in another PC, it is the DVD.

 

Don't be scared to send it back.

If the optical drive can read other disks: The drive is fine. Typo?
